Project Supported by China to Bring Digital Satellite TV to 20,000 families in Mozambique

The Government of Mozambique announced the conclusion of a project to bring digital satellite television signal to 1,000 villages in the in the northern province of Cabo Delgado, which is estimated to benefit over 20,000 families.  Covering all the ten provinces and the capital city of Mozambique, the project was co-funded by China and implemented by the Chinese electronics and media company StarTimes.

Irregularities in a first flight between China and Angola operated by Ethiopian Airlines led the Government to look for alternatives in supplies during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Huawei Angola intends, in a partnership with the Government, to train 2,500 Angolan professionals in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), during 2020. According to Hongzhen Liu, Vice President of Huawei in Angola, the company also aims to certify 300 professional engineers.
