Brazilian Industry Calls for Measures to Compensate Import of Subsidized Chinese Products

 

A study by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) shows that Brazil imported USD5 billion in subsidized Chinese products in 2019, 14.1% of Brazilian imports from China last year. The body is calling for more “compensatory measures” do protect the Brazilian industry, such as import tariffs based on the percentage of the subsidy granted in other countries.

China Supplies Aircraft to Angolan Air Force

The National Air Force of Angola (FANA) has started receiving its new Hongdu K-8W “Karakorum” training/ light attack aircraft, built by AVIC from China. According to an industry expert, FANA will operate a total of 12 such airplanes.
