China´s CGN Brazil Energy seeks new financing for Brazilian energy projects

 

Chinese group CGN Brazil Energy is negotiating with Banco do Nordeste (BNB) new financing for energy projects in Brazil.

On a visit to the bank’s headquarters, in Fortaleza, company executives presented their intention to expand the operation by another R$ 355 million (USD 73 million), according to the local press.

Currently, BNB is participates in CGN group´s energy projects with total financing of R$ 1.6 billion (USD 328 million).

PowerChina to invest 360 million dollars in a solar energy park in Brazil

The most recent project is for the Tanque Novo wind farm, in Bahia, which has an installed capacity of 180 megawatts. BNB’s stake in this project is R$200 million (USD 41 million).

“We recently inaugurated a new headquarters in São Paulo, signaling our intention to continue investing in Brazil in the future”, stated the CEO of CGN in Brazil, Yao Zhigang.

CGN Brazil Energy, discussed with the president of Banco do Nordeste, Paulo Câmara, the expansion of investments in the country.

Energy China International to invest USD 10 billion in Brazil

The Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of China in Recife, Wang Ke, accompanied the presentation of CGN investments in the energy sector in the Region and spoke of the intention to help Brazil in the process of energy transformation.
