Four business schools from Portugal among the world´s top 50

 

The Financial Times (FT) placed four Portuguese business schools among the 50 best in the world for executive education.

On FT´s list are Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (pictured above), Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP) | Porto Business School (PBS) and ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management.

Nova SBE is in 22nd place, standing out for the third consecutive year among Portuguese schools. It climbs over 20 positions, as does Católica Lisbon. Also good news for ISEG, which enters the FT executive education rankings.

In the open programmes ranking, Nova School of Business & Economics climbed 27 positions, reaching the 20th place, thanks to the scores obtained in the evaluation parameters “International participants” (7th position worldwide), and “Teaching methodologies and materials” (14th position).

In the specific ranking for customised programmes, Nova SBE moved up 25 places, now occupying the 29th position. However, in this ranking it is overtaken by Católica, which is in the 19th position, with special emphasis on the scores achieved in the criteria “Teaching methods and materials” (19th position worldwide), and “New competences” (19th position). In what concerns open programmes, Católica Lisbon is in the 44th position.

Globally, Católica Lisbon is in 27th place, rising to the world’ s Top-30 in executive education.

Sino-Portuguese master’s program in civil engineering launched in Portugal

The third Portuguese business school to appear in the FT global ranking is Porto Business School (PBS), which occupies 40th place in this edition. In the rankings that evaluate open programmes and customised programmes, the school from Portugal´s second largest city reaches 53rd and 48th places, having risen 22 and ten positions, respectively. The parameter “Growth” was the one that gave it the best evaluation (11th place, worldwide).

ISEG stands in 41st place, immediately after PBS, and sharing its position with Lagos Business School, from Nigeria. With special emphasis on the criterion that evaluates the “International participants”, the business school appears in the 54th position in the open programmes ranking and 46th in the customised programmes ranking.
