Chinese Ambassador Announces New Projects for Angola

China’s ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, stated on April 30, after an audience with the vice-president of the African country, Esperança da Costa, that his country is promoting new major strategic projects with Angola.

The ambassador also announced that the economic relations between the countries will be accelerated with the completion, as soon as possible, of the Caculo-Cabaça hydroelectric project (pictured above) and the new Caio Deep Water Port in Cabinda province.

Zhang Bin, who was accredited to the country in February of this year, stressed that the major projects underway, which he considers to be successful, represent the fruits of the strengthening of relations between China and Angola.

According to the ambassador, there are many Chinese companies with a strong interest in investing in Angola. He promised that the embassy would help to make these investments a reality.
