China and Equatorial Guinea Deepen Partnership

 

Equatorial Guinea´s Vice-President, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, visited Beijing aiming to strengthen the country´s partnership with China.

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said, quoted by the official chinese press, that thanks to the efforts of the two heads of state, China and Equatorial Guinea have seen the profound development of their comprehensive cooperative partnership.

Han urged the two countries to continue to firmly support each other in safeguarding their respective core interests, strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance, enhance friendly exchanges in all levels, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and raise bilateral relations to a new level.

Chinese companies encouraged to invest in Equatorial Guinea

Under the current circumstances, the solidarity between China and Equatorial Guinea is invaluable, Han added. The two sides should work together to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries and world-wide peace and development,said the Chinese vice president.

Mangue stated that Equatorial Guinea and China share a fraternal friendship. He expressed his sincere gratitude to China for taking the lead in helping Equatorial Guinea during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, which further strengthened the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Equatorial Guinea regards China as a strategic partner, will adhere to the one-China principle, firmly commit to deepening friendly cooperation with China, and is willing to strengthen coordination with China and safeguard the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, he added.
