Support grows for African countries’ call for urgent debt relief

The call is now growing from African Governments, with support from the United Nations and NGOs, for a debt relief package. Around one-fifth of Africa's debt pile is estimated to be owed to China.

Angola, Mozambique and Cabo Verde among the African countries where Covid-19 will peak later

According to a study from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTP), almost all African countries should have more than 1,000 cases by 1 May. Angola, Mozambique and Cabo Verde are among those where the number of infections is expected to peak later.
