MdME law firm launches in Lisbon to strengthen presence in Portugal

 

MdME law firm is opening a new office at the heart of Lisbon’s central business district, with the goal of strengthening its presence in the Portuguese market.

“The Lisbon office advises corporate clients operating in Portugal in the fields of finance, investment funds, technology, construction, environment and renewable energies. The firm will also be assisting lusophone investment into China”, MdME said in a statement.

“Our Lisbon team is comprised of well-established lawyers, recruited from some of the main portuguese law firms, and will be led by Partner José Leitão”, it added.

Rui Pinto Proença, Managing Partner of MdME, said that “with the reinforcement of its presence in Lisbon, MdME is setting out to become the leading firm in the assistance to Chinese capital in Portugal, as well as in the support to lusophone investment in China.”.

MdME claims to now be the only law firm with a presence in both Special Administrative Regions of China and in Portugal, with a headcount of more than 35 legal professionals and 70 professionals operating in all three jurisdictions.
