Great Wall Motor Eyes Portugal in European Expansion

 

Portugal is one of 8 European countries where Chinese car manufacturer Great Wall Motor (GWM) is looking to expand and possibly to set up a Research and Development (R&D) center.

After reaching Germany and the United Kingdom, with offers that are based mainly on electric cars limited in supply, GWM is now preparing to expand to 8 new countries: Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

According to the Chinese press, the manufacturer will also expand its range of electric cars in European countries.

GWM wants to strengthen investments in Europe and is also looking for countries to install an R&D center, as other Chinese manufacturers have done.

GWM is reportedly also considering to set up a factory to produce its electric cars to boost presence in European markets.
